In 2027, the Golf Business Technology Conference returns to Belfast, this time hosted at Titanic Hotel — off the back of the huge success of The Open Championship in 2025, itself building on Royal Portrush’s celebrated staging of the tournament in 2019. Titanic Hotel Belfast offers a truly distinctive setting for the conference, occupying the former Harland & Wolff Headquarters and Drawing Offices in the heart of Titanic Quarter. This carefully restored heritage building blends original maritime character with contemporary five-star comfort, giving delegates a sense of place unlike anywhere else in the city.

 

Built between 1886 and 1917, the Drawing Offices were the control centre of what was once the largest shipyard in the world. Within these rooms, Harland & Wolff’s designers and draughtsmen created the White Star Line’s Olympic-class liners — Olympic, Titanic and Britannic — along with vessels including HMS Belfast. The building was vacated in 1989 and stood empty for almost three decades before a €32 million restoration, supported by a £5m Heritage Lottery Fund investment, brought it back to life. Titanic Hotel Belfast officially opened on 10 September 2017. The original main drawing office is now the hotel’s grand banquet hall, seating up to 250 guests, while a second drawing office has been transformed into a champagne and cocktail bar overlooking Titanic Quarter — finished with the same tiles once used in Titanic’s own swimming pool.
